Medication evaluation and monitoring services may be provided in conjunction with psychotherapy or as stand-alone treatments for those who don’t need therapy. Clients aren’t required to be on any medication to gain access to other mental health services.
For substance use disorders, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) can work more effectively than counseling, behavioral therapies, or medication alone. This “whole patient” approach combines counseling and other therapies with prescription medications shown to help people overcome cravings and addiction. Our medical staff provides psychiatric consultations to staff, case conferences, psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and prescriptions.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
This program utilizes prescribed medications that work by normalizing brain chemistry, primarily to treat Opioid Use Disorder & Alcohol Use Disorder. MAT helps block the euphoric effects of alcohol and opioids, relieves cravings, reduces/relieves withdrawal symptoms, and is used in combination with behavioral health therapies for a whole person approach.
